It’s that time of the year again… the November 2019 sales launch! If you’ve been planning to apply for a Build-to-Order (BTO) flat in Tengah, Ang Mo Kio or Tampines, here is your chance to make it a reality. With 4,571 BTO units and 3,599 Sales of Balance Flats (SBF) on offer, there ought to be a home that meets your budget and need.

BTO Projects on Offer

There are 5 BTO projects for you to choose from – 3 in Tengah, and one each in Ang Mo Kio and Tampines.

Grants and Priority Schemes

Eligible first-timer families can receive up to $80,000 of housing grants. Read more about the HDB priority schemes to better your chances at getting a flat.

In September, HDB announced measures to help more Singaporeans in their home ownership journey. Buyers with a household income of up to $14,000 can buy BTO flats too, up from the previous income ceiling of $12,000. We also have a new grant—the Enhanced CPF Housing Grant (EHG), which replaces the Additional Housing Grant (AHG) and Special Housing Grant (SHG).

Flexi Flats and Fresh Start Housing Scheme

2-room Flexi flat process are determined after taking into account factors such as the lease tenure, and whether buyers are first-timers, second-timers, or others.

Families who are on the Fresh Start Housing Scheme can also apply for 2-room Flexi flats. The Fresh Start Housing Scheme is meant to help second-timer families with young children who stay in public rental flats to own a flat again.

Useful Tips for Flat Buyers

Before you submit your flat application, do read up more on the flat buying process and take note of the following tips:

  • Information on the BTO flats on offer is available on HDB InfoWEB so you can check out all the details and apply online
  • Consider applying for a BTO flat in non-mature towns to enjoy a higher chance of success in securing a flat
  • You can only apply for flat type/ category in 1 town
  • Regular updates on the application numbers for the various flat types/ towns will be published on the HDB InfoWEB, so do check for updates before submitting your application

Applicants are shortlisted using a computer ballot; they are not processed on a first come first served basis. So there is no need to rush to submit your application

If you wish to take up an HDB housing loan for your flat purchase, a valid HDB Loan Eligibility (HLE) Letter is required when you book a flat. Do check your loan eligibility and apply for an HLE letter at www.hdb.gov.sg/hleapply.

Next Sales Launch

Applications for the November 2019 Sales Launch will close on 18 November 2019.

There will be another sales launch coming up in February 2020, with about 3,000 flats in Sembawang and Toa Payoh. Be sure to check the MyNiceHome website and follow our Facebook page for the latest updates!
