TERMS OF PARTICIPATION FOR HDB EVENTS

  1. By registering for and/or attending any talk, seminar, webinar and/or event conducted by HDB on online platforms (“HDB Event”), I agree to the following Terms and Conditions (“T&Cs”). If I do not agree to any of these T&Cs, I shall neither proceed with the registration for any HDB Event nor attend any HDB Event.

Provision and use of participant information

  1. I agree to the following arrangement for the purposes of HDB’s verification of the identities of the registrants for the HDB Event(s):
    1. where I am the flat applicant whom HDB has invited to attend the HDB Event(s) and I am allowed to invite other persons to attend the said HDB Event(s) (“Invited Guests”), all of my Invited Guests shall state my name in their registration forms; and
    2. where I am one of the Invited Guests, the flat applicant shall state my name in his/her registration form.
  2. I permit HDB, its vendors, partners, affiliates and/or representatives to collect and use my personal data for the purposes reasonably required for the conduct and promotion of the HDB Event(s). Such purposes shall include but are not limited to the following:
    1. the processing, handling and managing of my registration and participation in the HDB Event(s);
    2. the dissemination of information about the HDB Event(s) to me by HDB, its vendors, partners, affiliates and/or representatives; and
    3. the transmission of my personal data and any query(ies) that I may pose during the HDB Event(s) to any other parties for the purposes of addressing my query(ies) during and/or after the HDB Event(s); and
    4. post-event data analysis and processing.
  3. Where required by HDB, its vendors, partners, affiliates and/or representatives, I shall provide accurate, current and complete information about myself for the purposes of my participation in the HDB Event(s). I understand that I can email HDB at HDB_Community_Partnerships@hdb.gov.sg should I wish to know more about how my personal data is used.

Use of images and recordings

  1. When I attend any HDB Event:
    1. I acknowledge that HDB may capture screenshots and images and produce video recordings and/or audio recordings of the HDB Event(s) and me;
    2. I consent to the taking of such screenshots and images and the production of such video recordings and/or audio recordings of me.
    3. I agree that HDB reserves the right to use, in any medium and in any form, all and any screenshots, images, video recordings, audio recordings and/or any other records generated of the HDB Event(s) and me (the “Materials”), for any purposes which HDB, its vendors, partners, affiliates and/or representatives deem fit, including but not limited to use on HDB’s websites, social media accounts or other public platforms and for HDB’s internal uses.
    4. I hereby release HDB, its officers and employees, vendors, partners, affiliates and/or representatives and every person involved from any liability connected with or arising from the generation, production, recording, digitising, and/or publication of such Materials.
    5. By attending the HDB Event(s), I agree that I have no claims for any payment or royalties in connection with any publication of the Materials and I have no right to inspect or approve any Materials taken by HDB or the person or entity designated to do so by HDB.

Content presented during HDB Event(s)

  1. The content presented during the HDB Event(s) is provided for general information only and does not constitute legal and/or other professional advice. The presentation content is non-exhaustive i.e. it may not include all information relating to the matters covered therein.
  2. HDB and other entities or persons that are presenting content during the HDB Event(s) (the “Presenters”) reserve all rights to change their policies, procedures and/or practices and to add to, delete and/or modify the presentation content, at any time and in their sole discretion and without any further notification.
  3. HDB and the Presenters neither represent nor warrant the accuracy, completeness, reliability, currency or adequacy of the presentation content for any purpose. HDB and the Presenters disclaim liability for errors and/or omissions in the presentation content and any loss suffered by any person arising from the reference to, usage of and/or reliance on the presentation content.
  4. Anyone seeking to refer to, use and/or rely on the presentation content for any purpose is advised to conduct his or her own checks to verify the accuracy, completeness, reliability, currency and/or adequacy of the presentation content and its applicability to the person’s circumstances. Where necessary, clarification about the presentation content can be sought by approaching HDB and/or the relevant Presenters.
  5. Save as otherwise provided in these T&Cs, no part of the HDB Event(s) may be copied, modified, reproduced, reused, republished, reverse compiled, adapted, modified, altered, used to create a derivative work, displayed, broadcasted, uploaded, posted, transmitted, communicated in any form or by any means or otherwise distributed in any way for commercial or any other purpose without our prior written permission. Unauthorised use of the presentation content is a violation of HDB’s intellectual property rights and a breach of these T&Cs.

Platforms used for HDB Event(s)

  1. HDB’s website, forms and online platforms (colllectively, the “Platforms”) used in relation to the HDB Event(s) are provided on an “as-is” basis. HDB does not make any warranty or representation as regards the security of the Platforms and their contents, the access to and use of information captured or made available through the Platforms or the accuracy, reliability, completeness or suitability of any information contained in, made available by or exchanged through the Platforms. Further, HDB does not make any warranty that access to the Platforms will be provided uninterrupted or free from errors or that any identified defect will be corrected or that the contents of the Platforms are free from any computer virus or other malicious, destructive or corrupting code, programs or macro that may affect any programme, equipment, system or property.
  2. HDB, its vendors, partners, affiliates and/or representatives shall not be held liable for any loss or damage sustained by any person arising out of and/or in connection with registering for and/or participating in the HDB Event(s).

Acceptance of T&Cs

  1. I declare that I am at least 18 years old and have full legal capacity to accept and be bound by these T&Cs.
  2. Should any dispute arise in connection with my participation in the HDB Event(s) and/or my compliance with these T&Cs, HDB’s decision on the same shall be final and binding.
